Keep up to date with everything going on in our monthly newsletter.
Our much-anticipated Welcome Back Sunday is scheduled for August 28.  We will be back at the church, hanging out on 6th street this year.  The Connecting Committee has been busy planning two different food trucks, the KSU Band, a photo backdrop, outdoor games for the kids, a Pastry Walk for everyone, and so much more.  We can’t wait to see you there!

In order to make this event successful, we need your help.  Many volunteers are needed for different jobs both big and small.  Jobs like coffee servers, table carriers, pastry walk helpers, food servers, Worship greeters, etc.  Please consider donating some of you time on Welcome Back Sunday by following this link.  Don’t forget, no job is to small in God’s house!

That is what we aim for at THE OASIS.  This is a special worship experience brought to you by the Next Generation Task Force with the hopes to provide a meaningful and encouraging connection to our young community and the Lord.  Join us for our next service on August 23rd, in the main sanctuary at FUMC.

Times change. We didn’t have a printed Bible until Martin Luther and Gutenberg gave us print in the 16th century. Now we are a busy, mobile society using email and computers. But that hasn’t changed our need for connection to God.  We still desperately need knowledge of God through Scripture – and Christian fellowship through communication.  Participation in this class will allow you freedom to ponder the questions and discuss the spiritual meanings you have.   Each week this class will help you explore some of the deep spiritual issues that you may have prayed about.
Pastor Barry will lead you through the whole Bible week by week.

Forum Sunday School

The Forum Sunday School class is a once a month class where we invite guest speakers from the community.  They share their expertise and how the church can be involved.  This Fall we will be examining topics like the economy, anxiety in youth, local missions, and stewardship.  These classes are always very enlightening and are a great way for you to connect with the community in Manhattan.
