Building Committee Update and Survey Results
The FUMC Building Committee met with Rev. Dr. Mark Holland on May 13 to receive the summary of the congregational survey that was conducted in April and to hear his final recommendations from the feasibility study for which he was contracted.
The response to the survey was very good, with 294 total responses, so thank you for taking the survey! If you would like to see the survey results, they are below, or you can pick up a paper copy in the church office.
The overall sentiment that came from the survey is that the congregation is not ready for a capital campaign at this time. We received a lot of helpful feedback, and we will use this as we move forward.
Our next steps include the following:
On a personal note, I want to thank the Building Committee members for their investment of time and energy thus far to keep a vision for the future of FUMC moving forward. I am confident that the Holy Spirit is working and when we are faithful to pray, God can do great things through His people!

- The money we received from the sale of the Harris Activity Center has been invested by the church to ensure we are earning interest on that income.
- The Building Committee will work with the Church Council to discern next steps.
- We will keep the congregation informed as the process continues.
