CarePortal brings the needs of hurting children and families in Riley Country to our attention. Child Welfare workers uncover the needs. CarePortal makes FUMC aware, then we have the opportunity to help fill the need as a team. Want to help a local child in need? Sign up to receive request via email without obligation to respond.
If you have children who have been Acolytes or are wanting to start participating, please join us for a reboot to our ministry! Everyone is excited to bring God's light into the Sanctuary in a tangible way each Sunday. Sign-up link for Sunday participation.
This annual event raises nearly $20,000, benefiting Shepherd's Crossing. Events are open to all ages and abilities. The 5K race winds throughout the K-State campus, and participants can enter a four-person team to compete. Help keep the traveling team trophy at FUMC by choosing First United Methodist Church under the "church affiliation" option.
Building Better Moms strives to build a community of moms who learn, grow and serve together. BBM members meet together in a larger group setting, and are connected with a small group of moms throughout the year. Groups are based on child age and desired meeting time. FUMC is preparing for a new church photo directory. You are invited to be included in this professionally-designed directory. Re-Member photography will be taking photographs October 5 - 9, 2021. Please sign up for your free photo to be taken and be included in the directory all at no cost. You will receive a free 8x10 photo and a directory when it comes out and have the opportunity to buy additional photos at your photography sitting.
We are so glad to be opening the doors and seeing our congregation return home again! With so many different groups wanting to start again, we want to guarantee everyone has a safe place to meet without sacrificing social distancing practices. In order to reserve a spot for your group, please download this Room Request Form and return your completed form to the office at minimum of 48 hours prior to your requested time. We will contact you to confirm your space is reserved.
University Methodist Church of Topeka will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving week trip to Anapra, Mexico and has limited space for any FUMC participants. Cost is $500 per person. For additional information call the FUMC, MHK office any time. Or email us at fumc@fumcmanhattan.com
